In his remarks, Abraham Liyanto expressed his appreciation to the Kupang City Government for supporting the organization of events in public spaces. He also commended all PGSD faculty members and students who successfully presented various artistic performances to the public. According to him, artistic performances are not merely a form of entertainment but serve as a platform for prospective teachers to build self-confidence, cultivate discipline, foster teamwork, and develop their ability to express themselves through art and culture. “If you want to become a teacher, being able to perform on an open stage like this—even before stepping into a classroom—means you already possess extraordinary self-confidence. This is an important asset for an educator,” said Abraham. He believes that activities like this need to be continuously developed because they serve as a learning medium capable of connecting the theory learned in the classroom with real-world practice within the community. Abraham also expressed his appreciation for the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Citra Bangsa University, which he noted has consistently explored the region’s rich arts and culture through various academic activities. According to him, East Nusa Tenggara possesses immense cultural diversity. However, if it is not continuously explored, researched, and promoted to the wider public, this cultural wealth risks being lost as time goes on.
